Cask No. 93.119

Charcoal in a honeypot

Campbeltown

Burning cinnamon sticks and charred marshmallows released puffs of scented smoke into the air as sparks ignited gorse bushes with crackling enthusiasm. A breeze of salty sea air fanned the flames as the smoke meandered over sand dunes and scorched heather. Notes of cockles and mussels combined with salted liquorice on the palate alongside a creamy texture reminiscent of Balmoral sauce. Water unveiled more herbal smoke with lemons and bananas on a barbeque of burning driftwood. Salted chocolate introduced darker flavours that mingled with cocoa nibs and coffee beans but with the lifted sweetness of runny honey, summer fruit barley water and Christmas pudding with cream and brandy.

Cask: First-fill barrel
Age: 11 years
Date distilled: February 2008
Alcohol: 59.2%
USA allocation: 90 bottles
