The nose is initially warm and prickles with wood embers, red fruits, brake fluid and sweet vanilla cream. A fruits of the forest yoghurt with cranberry gravy, damson jam, digestive biscuits, baking soda and an underlying foundation of wax. With water there are peach stones, nutmeg and fresh flowers in vase water. Flaked almonds atop a strawberry cheesecake and herb infused fresh butter. A subtle gingery quality adds warmth. The palate is initially crisp and saline with frying bacon, spiced fruit chutneys and coffee liqueur. Some trail mix with banana chips, crushed aspirin and chopped parsley. Reduction makes it earthier with camphor, lamp oil, juniper and a twist of black pepper.
