A deep, intense fruity aroma of mangoes and apples at first, before we imagined a heady fully ripe bunch of raisined grapes squeezed into our glasses. All this combined with a floral mustiness and herbal notes of mallow. A truly inspirational experience. On the palate neat, sweet without cloying like Merlot-poached pears with vanilla and cinnamon and a kick of woody freshness in the finish. With a teardrop of water it turned into a fresh fruit salad, plenty of whipped cream and a glass of Pedro Ximenez VORS Sherry whilst the taste was now warm and spicy, woody and rich with a syrupy sweetness and a hint of candied hazelnuts.
