Tap-dancing tongue teaser

Speyside, Spey

The panellists were certainly intrigued by this cheeky chappy. A sweet and sour melange of sweet icing sugar dusted over green plums, gooseberry tart with a sticky glaze and zesty lime chocolate. Salted peanuts and the distinctive green aroma of asparagus appeared whilst on the palate we unanimously shouted, “pickled ginger”, along with stewed rhubarb as one panellist suggested. A dash of water released a frenzy of sweet vanilla custard, hard candy and Moffat toffees whilst a refreshing effervescent fizz tap-danced on the tongue like a sparkling bitter lemon drink.
