A well-used leather pipe tobacco pouch next to cold cigar smoke and some liquorice as well as a distant heather fire over moorland heather and a light briny scent had us all eager to taste - and we were not disappointed. An earthy sweet barbecue with honey soy squid, cashew nuts and Szechuan pepper as well as miso honey garlic shrimps, finger lickin’ good. With water we spread kumquat jam across hot buttered toast and we enjoyed roasting marshmallows over a smouldering peat fire on the beach on a cool clear summer’s night under the stars.
