An initial intensity of Baco Armagnac, caramelised brown sugar, antique furniture, molasses, jerk chicken rub, wood spice, exotic flowers and fudge. Water unveils tart gooseberry, elderflower, watermelon chunks and Folle Blanche. The fruitiness is superb, a whole, syrupy fruit salad. First up on the palate is a dense chocolatey note, along with stewed raisins, chopped dates, old vanilla essence, unlit cigars, more dark fruits and soft spices - an dense fruit and nut loaf - and a sense of botanic humidity. With the addition of water everything becomes silky smooth. Notes of pink grapes, rose petals, mandarin liqueur, pastel de nata, apple turnover and creme brulee.
