Notes

Fancy some peated pyrotechnics? A Burst of Flavours will delight the peat freaks out there with a symphony of smoke-fueled fun! Two distinctly different expressions of peat set the stage for an exploration of Highland and Islay flavour variations. Note the “heather and honey” appeal of Cask 4.248 Emanating petrichor that is a result of sourcing peat from a region with an abundance of low-lying vegetation, like heather and gorse. Then move to the “maritime and medicinal” expression of southern Islay with Cask 29.251 From the sweet side to the seaside for peat derived primarily from seaweed. Tasting these two malts will make for an eye-opening experience and a fascinating juxtaposition of the beloved “peated” style!
