2018 has been a historic year for The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary in America, we have been fortunate to receive numerous awards for excellence in whisky, even claiming world’s best whisky at the SF World Spirits Competition in April and then world’s best cask strength whisky at the International World Spirit Competition in London last month. 2018 has also been a year in which we have welcomed many new Society members from all over the country and in spring we expanded our team to Chicago, IL.
As the momentum continues, it is with great excitement that we announce a new addition to our team: Jenna Elie, known around the world for her blog “Whisky A Go Girl”, has officially joined The Scotch Malt Whisky Society in the USA as Member Relations Manager!
Based in Los Angeles, California, Jenna has been an advocate for the Society since becoming a member in 2017. She has continuously shared her love for our community with her readers and has also appeared as a guest in our July Outturn Preview Tasting on YouTube.
To officially welcome Jenna to our team, please join us for a LIVE digital gathering on our YouTube channel on Monday, August 20. Society members are invited to tune in as she joins Ben Diedrich for a live introduction and special tasting of our 25th Anniversary Cask 46.43 ‘Amber waves of grain’, released exclusively to Society members in the USA.
