Terms
Please read
the following carefully before you complete your transaction with the
Society.
These
product terms and conditions affect your rights and liabilities under the law
and set out the terms under which The Scotch Malt Whisky Society of America,
Ltd. makes the products available to you so please take a moment to
read.
Delivery
Information
Delivery
will be made to the address specified by you on the completed order form. To
ensure you receive your order safely, please give a daytime address where
someone can sign for the delivery. An adult signature is required on all
deliveries.
Neither the
Society nor its carrier will be liable for non-receipt of the goods. We will
deliver to the address as you have entered it on the order. We cannot accept any
liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect or
incomplete. Please check the delivery address if you are uncertain. If you
request a delivery to a business, we shall consider the delivery to be
successful, if it is delivered to a reception area and signed for by a
representative at that address.
If you would
like your delivery on a certain date, please let us know when you place your
order and we will do our best to achieve it.
Please note
that orders can only be delivered within the United States.
We shall not
be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause
beyond our control. All parcels are sent by insured carrier. Do not accept
damaged goods.
Prices
The prices
payable for the products that you order are clearly set out in the website. The
price of the product does not include shipping and handling charges as well as
tax, where applicable.
Availability
All of the
Society's products and services are subject to availability. Your website
transaction is not complete until you finish the entire checkout process and
click the submit button.
Acceptance
Purchases
are limited to adults 25 years of age or older. For this reason, we may refuse
an order at our discretion and orders may not be transferred from the customer
to any other person.
Payment
You can pay
by any American Express, MasterCard or Visa credit card. Your credit/debit card
details will be encrypted to minimize the possibility of unauthorized access or
disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order.
You will be
automatically charged for your order once payment has been completed. If your
order is dispatched in more than one delivery, payment for each will be taken
from your credit/debit card at the point of dispatch, and our acceptance of each
part of the order takes place on dispatch of the product.
Returns
We aim to make the returns process as simple as possible. To arrange a return, please contact us at 800.990.1991. We must be notified of damaged goods within 2 days of delivery.
